To estimate the British Columbia climate action tax credit (BCCATC) amount provide the following information:
Base tax year - select the base tax year for the tax credit calculation. For example: 2023 for
  the payment period from July 2024 to June 2025.
Marital stratus - single or married/common law.
Adjusted family net income (AFNI) - calculated as your family net income (line 23600 of your tax return, plus line 23600 of 
  your spouse's or common-law partner's tax return) minus any universal child care benefit (UCCB) and registered disability 
  savings plan (RDSP) income received (line 11700 and line 12500 of your or your spouse's tax return) plus any UCCB and RDSP 
  amounts repaid (line 21300 and line 23200 of your or your spouse's tax return).
Number of children - enter the number of children under 19 years of age.

About British Columbia Climate Action Tax Credit
The British Columbia climate action tax credit (BCCATC) is a tax-free payment made to low-income individuals and 
families to help offset the carbon taxes they pay.

For payments based on the 2023 income tax and benefit return (July 2024 to June 2025), 
BCCATC provides a maximum annual credit of $504.00 for single individuals and couples. Families will also receive  
$252.00 for a spouse or supporting person and $126.00 per child ($252.00 for the first child 
in a single parent family).
For single individuals with no children, the credit will be reduced by 2% of the adjusted net income over $41,071.00. 
For single parents, or married or living in a common-law relationship couples, the credit will be reduced by 2% 
of the adjusted family net income over $57,288.00.

The payment is combined with the quarterly payment of the federal GST/HST credit.

To qualify for the 2023 benefit year (July 2024 - June 2025), you must be a resident of British Columbia 
and at least one of the following:
19 years of age or older;
currently or previously married or in a common-law relationship;
a parent who lives or previously lived with a child.
