This tool covers the international variant of an acre, which is based on the international yard. International yard is defined to be exactly 0.9144 meters. Consequently, the international acre is exactly 4046.8564224 square meters.
The other variant of an acre (not covered by this tool) - the US survey acre is based on the US survey yard and is about 4046.87260987425 square meters.
